Advanced Mold Making for Heroic Scale Terrain Pieces

Make a six-sided (aka 3D) silicon rubber mold out of pre-cast miniature terrain pieces, something you make out of the clay provided at the beginning of the class, or another non-licensed object you bring with you.. Techniques will be taught for keying in the molds, proper vent placement, etc. Due to time restrictions, attendees must have attended the “Mold Making Basics for Heroic Scale Terrain Pieces” this year or previous years in order to learn the basic techniques of pouring silicon rubber molds. The mold you make is yours to take home, though you have the opportunity to use it before you leave Gen Con in the resin or plaster casting classes taught by the same instructor.

High Rise

You’ll perform all your actions – like collecting resources, constructing buildings, and repaying favors – on a one-way track. Like other one-way track games, you can go as far as you’d like, but you’ll only get another turn when everyone else passes you. You gain 1 VP per floor for each building you construct. Tenants offer powerful actions that change each game. You can collect a tenant power by landing on its space or constructing a building on its card. The round ends after everyone makes a lap around the one-way track. Players score bonus points for tallest buildings in each neighborhood and the game. Players lose points for Corruption, and the player with most VP wins.

Pavlov’s Dogs

Players are dogs working together during a series of tests (rounds) given to them by famous Dogtors such as Sigmund Fetch, Collie Jung, and Bark F. Skinner! Each round one player is the Dogtor and ensures that the dogs are following the rules. All players start with 3 bones. If they ever make a mistake they lose a bone and if one player is out of bones the game ends immediately. Whenever you are a bad dog, you lose one bone. The Dogtor then resets the total test value to zero and play continues until all dogs are out of test cards. The game end immediately once one dog is out of bones and all players fail. However, players may share bones in between rounds as long as each player has at least one bone but no more than 3 bones. If all players still have bones at the end of your final round, you pass!

The year is 1667 and you are a pirate sailing the waters of the Caribbean. A Spanish Galleon floats nearby, and you�ve talked your crewmates into working together to steal all of its treasure. What you haven�t told your fellow pirates is that you have no intentions on sharing the treasure once you have it. Your crewmates have told you that they share your loyalty and that they�ll help you maroon the greedy pirates on your ship to the rocky island of Tortuga. But you�ve seen your friends� loaded pistols and heard their whisperings of a mutiny. You know that nobody can be trusted. Tortuga is all about the interactions you have with the other players. In some cases, such as when you and your shipmates are attacking the Spanish Galleon, you need to rely on your enemies in order to succeed.
